Do you have days when you get out of the wrong side of the bed? Your child refuses to put their clothes on? You run late to your first meeting.
Yes, occasionally I have days like that. So when that happens the best thing for me to do is to take a deep breath and take it moment by moment.
I remember a video where a lady had a rude encounter with someone on a street and she picked up a bad feeling represented by a black ball. She went along in a bad mood and passed it onto other people. That night, she realised that she had picked up a number of bad feelings. She looked at them and painted them yellow to represent happy feelings. The next day, she went out giving positive feelings instead.
I see a few messages in this story;
1) Who knows what happened to the person being mean or negative? Maybe they got out of the wrong side of bed or something sad is affecting them and they are acting it out.
2) We don’t need to hang onto bad feelings and pass them onto others. Sometimes we have a bad day. Observe the feeling, feel it, let it go and move on.
3) It’s not always easy to paint a negative feeling into a positive one, but if you practice, it becomes easier to see the silver lining.
Hope you have a yellow ball day.
