I was speaking with a friend about how he had gotten into coaching and personal development work. He had been introduced to Landmark Forum (1) years ago. They are often asked to bring people along and tell them why they are bringing them. My friend brought his sister and told her he wished he had done their program earlier in his life when he was 18. The age she was then.
Sometimes I also wish I had done more personal development earlier in my life. I would have learnt tools to help me get through tough times but instead, I muddled along.
A client took her teenage son to see Unleash the Power Within (2) with Tony Robbins. What an experience. I only went to see Tony Robbins in my 30s with my boyfriend now husband and it had a strong influence on both of us. My husband went again a few years later and I know others that go every few years for refreshers.
You know what though, sure we may wish we have done things earlier, but in any case, why waste any more time? It’s never too late to get started with what you want to do. The earlier you commit, the more time you have to put tools into action and reap the benefits. A lot of us know the theories, it’s whether we are putting them into action which is the key.
Let’s make the most of the time going forward.
